What does Facebook Marketplace charge?
Local pickup is free. Shipped orders pay a selling fee. See what you keep either way.
How Facebook Marketplace fees work
- Local pickup: free. No listing fee and no selling fee.
- Shipped orders: a selling fee on the item price, 10% with a $0.80 minimum. Payment processing is included.
- Shipping: the buyer usually pays for shipping. If you offer free shipping, enter the label cost as a cost.
Pricing tip
For bulky or low-priced items, local pickup is hard to beat: you keep the whole price. Switch between shipped and local to see the difference.
Worked example
On a sale where you receive $40.00, Facebook Marketplace fees come to $4.00 (10.0% of the sale). After $15.50 in product, shipping and packaging costs, you keep $20.50, a 51% margin. These are the calculator's starting numbers, so you can change any of them above.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| You receive | $40.00 |
| Selling fee (10%) | −$4.00 |
| Your costs | −$15.50 |
| Profit | $20.50 |
